Colorado is known for its breathtaking mountain ranges, stunning scenery, woodlands, and of course, great glamping options. Glamping, or ‘glamourous camping’, means you can be at one with nature, camping under the stars, and roasting marshmallows on the fire, with the comfort of a bed, working toilet, and many other modern amenities. It’s the perfect way to explore the great outdoors without roughing it in a sleeping bag on the floor of a tent. From log cabins through to yurts and luxury tents, here are the best options for glamping in Colorado:

1. Evergreens on Fall River at Estes Park

The Evergreens on Fall River are a beautiful collection of log cabins complete with the basic necessities to keep you comfortable while being in the heart of nature. The cabins are located right beside the entrance to the Rocky Mountains National Park, meaning it’s a great base to explore the park and go on hiking day trips. The cabins offer incredible views of the nearby Fall River. You can choose from one or two bedroom cabins complete with a cozy living room area. The cabins also have WiFi, a kitchenette, dining area and private deck, topped off with picturesque riverside views. There are plenty of things to do onsite, from enjoying some time in a hot tub through to taking a scenic walk around the cabin grounds or relaxing in one of the site’s hammocks.

You don’t get more of a luxury camping experience than the cabins at Dunton River Camp, a high-end ranch located in Dunton Hot Springs. The resort boasts a series of stunning cabins located in a 19th-century ghost town set within an alpine valley.

The cabins, which also date back to the 19th century and have since been beautifully restored, come complete with five-star luxury amenities. There’s also a camping option in the form of lavish safari-style tents. Each tent comes complete with comfortable beds, a large bathtub, and kitchenette.

3. Tennessee Pass Sleep Yurts, Leadville

The Tennessee Pass Sleep Yurts are located by the Sawatch Mountains at Tennessee Pass, in Leadville. The yurts offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Each yurt comes with a handcrafted log bed, comfortable mattresses, chairs, and kitchenettes. There’s solar-powered electricity in the yurts, however, we think it’s better to leave your phone at home and get totally off-the-grid. While the yurts come complete with a kitchen, if you don’t feel like cooking, it’s just a short walk to the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse, which is a delicious, fine-dining restaurant.
